Have you ever had that terrible feeling after preaching a sermon?
The pastor did not see it coming. Sure, there were some hints and signs, but nothing to prepare him for the meeting on Saturday with the personnel committee.
Bah. Humbug. I admit it. I used to hate New Year resolutions. They seemed so contrived and short-termed. I’ve probably had resolutions to lose over 2,000 pounds over the course of my life.
The church member knows his or her church is in decline.
On rare occasions, I wish I could read minds.
